‘’when they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.’’
Explanation of this verse:
Today’s bible verse refers to the story of the Magi, also known as the Three Wise Men or Three Kings, who followed a miraculous star to find the newborn Jesus. God is guiding his people. The wise men were guided by the star to find Jesus Christ, and this is a reminder that God is always with us and will lead us to him. So does God help everyone? God always helps those who want to walk with him.
In this verse, it is believed that God’s message can be understood as a sign of divine guidance and revelation. The appearance of the star in the east was a miraculous event orchestrated by God to guide the Magi to the location of the young child (Jesus). Which is a clear identification of God’s help to show the right path to the Magi. The fact that the star stopped over the place where the Christ child was born is a further indication that God was leading them to him.
This passage can also be seen as a reminder that God is always with us, even when we cannot see him. The wise men were guided by the star even though they could not see it, and this is a reminder that God is always guiding us, even when we cannot see his hand at work. Surely he is always with us everywhere. If we will be counted among his good servants.
