Isaiah 5:11,12
“Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them. And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.”
Explanation of this verse:
Today’s bible verse is taken from Isaiah and talks about a society that focuses on enjoying life and having fun instead of thinking about what is right and being good. It talks about people who begin their day by drinking alcohol and want to stay drunk all day long. Focusing on drinking too much shows a strong habit of enjoying things that keep us from thinking about what really matters in life.
