Today’s bible verseThe scripture Luke 1:8 helps us remember the commitment and dedication shown by Zechariah in doing his priestly duties for God. He did not have any intention of seeking praise and honor but served God with the dedication that God entrusted to him. It helps us learn that the act of serving God is in itself a form of worship. Even the most common acts of devotion, which might go unnoticed, are all noted by God.
Today’s bible verse: This passage also illustrates how God’s plan is usually fulfilled while we are serving Him faithfully. In this case, God started to unveil His plan of the birth of John the Baptist at the time when Zechariah was just doing his job. In fact, God usually accomplishes things through faithful people who continue doing their jobs. It does not matter whether we know God’s plan; what really matters is for us to serve God sincerely.

So, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in summary, the importance of being faithful in whatever we are entrusted by God, whether in church service, family responsibilities, honest work, or helping people. We can take the lesson from this scripture in our daily life by doing everything faithfully, knowing that God sees our faithfulness though no one else is noticing it. While we are serving God faithfully and obediently, we must trust that He is at work and will surely do His perfect plan in His perfect time.
