Jesus Christ is the living God, who came to earth to save all people by showing them the right path. His life, which he lived while on earth, was full of miracles, and those miracles are clear proof to accept him as our God because he is the only one to raise the dead. He himself rose from the dead, and his empty tomb is clear proof that he is a living God.

Let’s look at ways to please God:

Ways to please God

1. Faith in the Living God:

Faith is considered the most valuable and important component to please God and it is a fact that God is also pleased with those who believe in Him, and those who believe in Him will certainly never see disappointment in their lives. Therefore, if you want to see the miracles of God in your life, have strong faith in Him. Believe that whatever you ask for, your God will provide it for you, and surely, as you believe, it will happen to you. Let’s look together at Bible verses from God’s Word that will strengthen your faith.

  1. Hebrews 11:6 – “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
  2. Romans 8:8 – “Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”
  3. 2 Corinthians 5:7 – “For we live by faith, not by sight.”
  4. Galatians 2:20 – “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me…”

2. Obedience and Righteousness

Obedience and righteousness refer to the commands that our God has clearly told us in the Holy Bible. We must follow them with a sincere heart and not violate them under any circumstances. When we adhere to the commands he has given with a sincere heart, our God will surely be pleased with us. Let’s look at some Bible verses from God’s Word related to obedience and righteousness.

  1. 1 Samuel 15:22 – “To obey is better than sacrifice…”

  6. 1 John 3:22 – “And whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.”

3. Please God, not man

Please, God, not man. This means that we should always keep in our mind and heart that we have to please our God and not any man because man is only on this earth for a short period of time and after this earthly life we have to go to our God and only those people will remain with God in heaven who are among His chosen and beloved people. So surely if we please our God in this earthly life, we will definitely enjoy living with our God in heaven. Let’s look at some verses from God’s Word about this.

  1. Galatians 1:10 – “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God?…”

4. Walking in Love and Holiness

Dear, our God, who loves us immensely and has done things among all these people on earth that are a clear proof of His human love, dear, that is why He wants us to share love and affection with other people according to His Word and always be careful that no one’s heart is hurt because of you. If someone’s heart is hurt because of you, they will definitely curse you or complain about you to God. And when that happens, your God will definitely be angry with you instead of being happy, which we should never let happen. Let’s look at some bible verses from God’s Word about this.

  1. Ephesians 5:1-2 – “Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love…”

Dear, we can also please God through gratitude and praise. We must remember to praise God in our prayers and supplications in our lives and be grateful for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. Surely, when we are grateful and praising Him for the blessings and graces He has bestowed upon us, then surely our God will be pleased with us, and when our God is pleased with us, then surely He will bless us with more blessings and favors and brighten our lives. Let’s look at some bible verses from God’s Word about this.

  1. Hebrews 13:15-16 – “Let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise…for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

  3. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

6. Bearing Spiritual Fruit

Striving for spiritual fruit is also an act by which we can please God. In this, it is important that we keep in mind that we should stay away from all sins that take us away from Him. When we stay away from all these sins, we will certainly draw ourselves closer to our God, both spiritually and physically, and be fruitful, and our God will be pleased with us. Let’s look at some bible verses from God’s Word about this.

  1. John 15:8 – “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
  2. Colossians 1:10 – “…bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.”
  3. Matthew 5:16 – “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

7. Humility and Trust on God

Humility and trust are closely linked virtues that reflect a person’s attitude toward themselves, others, and the world around them. Humility involves recognizing one’s limitations, imperfections, and dependence on something greater—whether that be other people, truth, or a higher power—without arrogance or pride.

Trust, on the other hand, is the willingness to rely on others or on that greater power, even when outcomes are uncertain or beyond one’s control. Together, humility and trust create a posture of openness and surrender, where one acknowledges their need for guidance and support, and chooses to believe in the reliability or goodness of what lies beyond their own understanding. Let’s look at some bible verses from God’s Word about this.

  • Psalm 51:17 – “A broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.”
  • Isaiah 66:2 – “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit…”
  • Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding…”

8. Seeking God’s Will

Another act by which we can please our God is by following our God’s plans, because our God knows best what work is good for us at what time. Surely, at that time, all the works that are good for us will be done. It is only necessary that we believe in our God’s plans. He will definitely do good for us whenever He does it. Then surely our God will be pleased with this act of ours too. Let’s look at some bible verses from God’s Word about this. Let’s look at some bible verses from God’s Word about this.

  3. Romans 8:27 – “…the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”

9. Doing Good and Helping Others

Our God, who is very good and loves us immensely and is loving to us, surely He wants us to have love and affection with other people and also to help other people in their work, whether in any way, by helping someone financially or in any of their work. By doing or by helping others to please our God, surely when we help other people to please our God, surely God will help us and be pleased with us. 4. James 1:27 – “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows…”
  5. Hebrews 13:16 – “Do not forget to do good and to share with others…”

10. Living with Integrity and Reverence

Our God is also pleased with us by living a life of honesty and respect. Surely our God knows all our hidden plans, which we hide from all other people, but we cannot hide from our God. Surely, we should always remember that our God is watching whatever we do, and we should also treat all other people with honesty and respect so that they do not get hurt because of us. And when we live our lives with consideration for others, we will certainly be safe from sin, and our God will be pleased with us. Let’s look at some bible verses from God’s Word about this.

Conclusion:

So my dear sisters and brothers, we learn that we can please our God by believing in our God with our true heart, obeying Him, and following His commands, and only to please Him and not to please man, and by sharing love and affection, by praying to Him with a sincere heart, and thanking Him, and by making our spiritual life fruitful, and by having our complete trust in Him, and by believing in all His plans that He will do for us at the right time, and by helping other people, and by always fearing our God in our hearts.

And certainly, those with whom their God is pleased, certainly never lose any battle, whether it is an earthly battle or a spiritual battle that we fight with Satan, we can never lose because our God is pleased with us and He will certainly help us, and we will never be defeated by those in the world who want us to do harm, and Satan, who always tries to distance us from God, we can also win this battle with him.
