Romans 2:8
“But unto them that are contentious*, and do not obey* the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,”
Explanation:
Today’s Bible verse. This passage speaks of the grave dangers and results of turning away from the Word of God in preference for disobedience. People who are quarrelsome, stiff-necked, and obstinate in refusing to be subject to the will of God usually pursue their evil desires rather than God’s righteous path. The Word of God says that God is completely righteous, and He does not overlook continued rebellion against His truth.
This Bible verse. This passage also highlights that there is an option available for everyone individually. It is either to abide by the Word of God, leading to righteousness and eternal life, or to choose unrighteousness, resulting in judgment. God loves His children enough to call them to repentance and turn away from sins; however, He also clearly states that if one continues rejecting His Word, there will be judgment awaiting him. His love and justice are equal and do not conflict with each other.
Conclusion:
So, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in addition, the Bible verse tells us that every individual gets an opportunity to make a choice between following the righteous path of God and the path of unrighteousness. We are given the option of following God’s truth, which results in righteousness and eternal life, or disobeying the commandments of God, which results in condemnation for us. God invites each and every one of us to repent and turn away from our sins, but He is also clear about the fact that disobedient individuals will suffer from the consequences of their actions.
