Matthew 5:22
“But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.’’
Explanation:
This is today’s bible verse. In this verse, we learn that God takes not only our outward actions into account but also what goes on inside us. Jesus clarifies the meaning of the commandment not to murder others by explaining that sinful anger, hatefulness, and contempt towards other people are considered equally serious offenses in God’s eyes. If one gets angry for no valid reason and even utters insults against other individuals, then it means that one’s heart isn’t right before God.

This bible verse also possesses great significance according to the passage. The way we use words when relating to other people determines a lot about us. If we choose to abuse someone by using insulting words, it would hurt him spiritually and emotionally, since Jesus has clearly warned against the negative effects of abusing someone, seeing as he has been made in the likeness of God. The Christian should strive to achieve peace rather than hold grudges.
Conclusion:
So, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today’s Bible verse. Conclusively, this verse is a reminder that God not only wants his people to act righteously but to have a pure heart, too. It is an appeal for the believer to watch his emotions, regulate his speech, and behave with kindness and reverence towards other people. This advice can be applied in practical life through asking for forgiveness in case of mistakes, resolving disputes peacefully, forgiving others for their mistakes, and never allowing one’s mouth to harm another person, but instead speaking encouragement to them.
