Isaiah 5:3,4
“And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard. What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?”
Explanation of this verse:
Today’s bible verse is taken from Isaiah which shows that God is very disappointed with His people. God uses the image of a vineyard to represent His people, whom He takes care of and provides for with everything they need. In this picture, God is like both the owner and the gardener who took a lot of time and effort to look after his garden. The people living in Jerusalem and Judah are asked to look at and judge what’s happening. God’s question, “What more could have been done. ” shows how kind, patient, and caring He is. It means He did everything possible to help His people succeed and live good lives.
In this bible verse, even with all His hard work, the vineyard grew “wild grapes” instead of the good fruit He hoped for. This shows how people are disloyal, rebellious, and do not follow God’s rules. Instead of following God’s agreements, they ignored them and acted in ways that went against what He taught. This failure happened not because God didn’t care, but because of their own choices and refusal to follow His guidance. The “wild grapes” represent the bad behavior they chose, which was not the good and honest life that God wanted for them.

So, my dear sisters and brothers, From today’s bible verse, we are being advised to observe whether we are the ones who are deceiving God even after receiving His blessings or we are trying to make him happy as much as possible by following his teachings and gratitude. Because it is written in the word of God that what is planted in him will always be fruitful. Love your God with all your heart and soul. So we should make every effort to abide in Him. To abide in Him, it is necessary to read and follow His Word when we follow His teachings and try. Our God will certainly help us to remain in it and be fruitful.
