John 5:19
“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can* do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever* he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.”
Explanation:
In this verse, this is an illustration of the perfect harmony between Jesus Christ and God the Father. Jesus made clear that He did not work on His own but acted in perfect accord with the will of His Father. Whatever Jesus did was always in perfect agreement with the work of His Father.
Today’s Bible verse: Our lives also need to be directed according to the will of God and not according to our own self-will. The life of Jesus Christ serves as an example of obedience. Rather than relying on our own wisdom, we must rely on God’s wisdom through prayer and His Word. When we are doing God’s will, our lives become a witness of our faith and obedience.
Conclusion:
So, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in our day-to-day activities, we can practice this principle by calling upon God to direct us as we make our decisions and take our actions. Before making any major decisions, we ought to pray to God, study His word in the Bible, and find out if what we are about to do pleases God. We should emulate Jesus Christ by subordinating our own wishes to the will of God.
