“Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,”
Explanation:
Today’s Bible verse in Luke’s gospel at the very start, the significance of preserving and passing on the truth regarding God’s work is evident. Luke says that there were already many who had started writing accounts of the things that were said and done by Jesus Christ because they were faithfully believed and seen by true followers. It can be seen that the gospel was not something that had come about out of rumor or imagination but rather out of events that were actually witnessed by many.
Moreover, we learn from this bible verse the importance of unity of faith and the role of testimony. The believers had a similar trust in the work, miracles, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The reason why their faith was so powerful was the fact that it was based on the truth of God and the testimonies of those who witnessed Jesus’ miracles. In his attempt to arrange all these events “in order,” Luke shows how important wisdom, understanding, and faithfulness are for teaching God’s Word.

So, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, to conclude, this bible verse reminds us to appreciate God’s Word and to diligently spread His Word to others. Like the first Christians who diligently held on to the Word of Christ, we too must study the Bible, understand it, and pass it along to others. This lesson can be applied to our own lives by being honest in our testimonies, edifying others through the Bible, and being steadfast in our beliefs concerning Jesus Christ. By holding on to God’s Word and spreading it with honesty and sincerity, we continue in the same footsteps as the first Christians.
