‘’And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.’’

Today’s bible verse is taken from Matthew, It tells the story of how the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and instructed him to take the young child Jesus and his mother Mary and flee to Egypt. This was because Herod, the king of Judea, was seeking to kill the young child in order to prevent him from becoming king. But only that happened what our God wanted. No earthly King can do whatever our God can. So always be thankful to him if you believe in him.
This today’s Bible scripture tells us that God always defends his people, even when they are in danger. He dispatched the angel to Joseph to warn him of the threat and give him guidance on how to protect the infant. This scripture also encourages us to always follow God’s instructions, no matter how challenging or unclear they may seem. God knows very well about all the hidden plans of our hearts. That’s why the King failed in his plan because God knew about his plan.
