Isaiah 6:7
“And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.”
Explanation:
In this verse, the following Bible verse speaks to us about the forgiveness, purification, and mercy of God. The moment when Isaiah understood that God is holy, he also understood that he himself is a sinner and confessed that he has unclean lips. As an answer, one of the seraphim touched his lips with a burning coal from the altar, meaning that his sin was cleansed. Through this story, we see how merciful God is and how He is ready to forgive us and prepare us for service to Him.

Today’s Bible verse: One other main message in this verse is that God forgives us not only to leave us in our sinful state, but also to prepare us for His purpose. The unclean lips of Isaiah were an indication of his sinfulness, but after cleansing, he became fit for service to the Lord. Similarly, our words and deeds must show the transformation brought by God in our lives. We must refrain from telling lies, from backbiting, from hurting anyone with our tongues, and from causing harm through our words. We must speak the truth, encourage people, spread the Word of God, and use our words to bring peace and kindness.
Conclusion:
So, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, the lesson learned from this verse in the Bible is that God is a holy God, full of mercy, who can cleanse us from our sins. We should never let anything in the past stop us from seeking forgiveness from God and doing His will. We can put this lesson into practice in our daily lives by confessing our sins to Him, requesting forgiveness from Him, repenting from our wicked deeds, and letting His Word dictate our thoughts and words. Before saying anything, we should think about whether what we say is true, loving, and pleasing to God. Whenever we do something wrong, we should humble ourselves before Him and seek His help to correct our ways.
