‘’When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt, And was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.’’
Explanation of this verse:
Today’s bible verse is taken from Matthew, Which shows the migration of the holy family, on God’s order. This also shows the plan of God which is above all the plans. No one can know about the plans of God almighty not even Herod, who was the King of that time in Bethlehem. Joseph was warned in a dream by an angel of the Lord to take Mary and the baby Jesus and flee to Egypt. This was because Herod, the king of Judea, had learned about the birth of the King of the Jews and was determined to kill Him.
In this bible verse travel of holy family towards Egypt shows the prophecy from the Old Testament, which says: “Out of Egypt have I called my son” (Hosea 11:1). This prophecy was a reminder that God had chosen Israel as His special people, and that He would one day send His Son to redeem them. This also shows God’s protection to save his beloved son Jesus Christ. Which clearly tells us that God is faithful to His promises. Even though Herod tried to kill Jesus, God still fulfilled His plan to save the world through His Son.

So dear brothers and sisters today’s bible verse is a great comfort for us. No matter how many difficulties come into our lives our God will always protect us just like he saved his son from Herod plan. Just as God had a plan for His Son, God will have a better plan for us in our lives. We just need to sincerely trust our God in His plans because God is the only entity whose plans he alone knows, no one can know his plans except him. So we should remember that God is always with us and He will protect us. We should also trust that God will fulfill His promises, even when things seem hopeless.
