“Bring forth, therefore, fruits meet for repentance: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.”
Explanation of this verse:
Today’s bible verse is taken from Matthew. This bible verse shows the promise of God which the god is telling to us that if we repent from our sins we will able to get the fruit. In order to get the fruit repentance is not enough, we have to follow the paths told by Jesus Christ. We have to change our whole life. If we think that we are the children of Father Abraham and we go straight into heaven even if we are sinful then we are thinking wrong.
This today’s bible verse clearly tells us that God has the power to remove sinful peoples from the earth in a single pinch and raise up children from the stones. But if God is not doing this, then he is giving us a chance of repentance. As God loves us so much he always wants his people to repent from their sins and follow the paths which he told us through his beloved son, Jesus Christ. He sacrificed his beloved son only for our love. So that whoever believes in him will not destroyed, but get eternal life.
Conclusion:
Dear brothers and sisters, today’s bible verse gives us the clear message that only repentance is not enough if you want God’s grace and mercy. You should also have to do tasks like Helping poor and needy people around you, loving your enemies who do wrong to you, be honest and trustworthy, Always speaking the truth, Controlling yourself in anger, being kind and compassionate. When we repent of our sins and produce fruits meet for repentance, we are showing that we are truly sorry for our sins and that we are committed to living a new life in Christ.
