John 5:7
“The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while* I am coming, another steppeth down before me.”
Explanation:
Today’s bible verse, the paralyzed man shows the depth of loneliness and inability. He has been sitting by the pool for years in search of healing, but when the waters were troubled, some other person got there before him. In saying “I have no man,” the paralyzed man indicates his inability in addition to being alone with nobody to assist him. It is good to note that there are many people who bear unseen burdens, feeling forgotten, abandoned, or unsupported. Nevertheless, God sees all difficulties.
Today’s bible verse: Even from the situation of the man, we learn that our best hope is not in people or situations but in Jesus Christ. Though he thought that the pool alone would save him, Jesus Christ himself came before him to be his salvation. God operates in many ways, and He brings His salvation where everything else fails for us. Impossible as things seem to us, they are all possible for God.
Conclusion:
So, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, the above verse teaches us that we need to put all our hope in Jesus regardless of how alone we may be feeling and how we may not have anyone to assist us. It means that we do not give up despite other people progressing in their lives before us but pray and continue having faith in the timing of God. We may also use the above lesson in our lives by having mercy on the lonely, the weak, and those in trouble and being the hand that the other person was praying for.
