Isaiah 5:19
“That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it! ”
Explanation:
Today’s Bible verse is talking about people who make fun of God and do not believe in what He does. These people tell God to hurry up and do something so they can see it with their eyes. They do not trust that God knows what He is doing and that He will do things at the right time. Instead, they talk in a way and do not believe in God. The things they say show that their hearts are hard and they will not listen to what God is saying. The Bible verse reminds us that some people get impatient or start to doubt when they do not see God doing something.
The Bible verse also talks about how bad it is not to take holy things seriously. It calls God “the Holy One of Israel” to show us how powerful and holy He is. People who made fun of God did not get that His plans are way bigger than what we can understand. When people question or laugh at God, His plans keep going strong. This shows us that we should not just believe in God when we see things happening away, but we should trust what God says and respect how wise He is. God’s promises are what matter, not what we can see.

We need to have faith, be humble, and respect how holy God is. We can use this in our lives by trusting God even when we do not see what is going on and waiting for God to show us what to do, and really listening to what God says. When we are true to God and do not doubt Him or think we are better than Him, we get closer to God. We learn to trust that God has a good plan for us.
