‘’And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way’’.
Explanation of this verse:
This today’s Bible verse is from the Gospel of Matthew, specifically Matthew 2:12. It is a part of the story of the Wise Men, also known as the Magi, who had come to Jerusalem seeking the newborn King of the Jews. King Herod, upon learning of their quest, asked them to find the child and report back to him so that he could also go and worship the child. However, in a dream, the Wise Men were warned by God not to return to Herod.
After receiving a divine warning in a dream, the Wise Men were instructed not to go back to Herod as they had originally planned. Instead, they took a different route to return to their own country. This event highlights the idea that God’s guidance and protection were at play, ensuring the safety of the newborn Jesus from the potential harm that Herod could have posed. God’s instructions to the Magi reveal God’s love and plan for Jesus Christ. If the Magi had not obeyed God, they might have been in more trouble or Herod would have killed them. God always shows the right direction so that his people may not fall in trouble. Of course, this verse also shows the great love of God for His beloved Son ”Jesus Christ” and also for those who come to worship the Son of God.
