“Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.”
Explanation of this verse:
These words from Matthew 4:10-11 show how strong Jesus was in the face of temptation. In this today’s bible verse, we can see that Satan tried to lure Him away from His mission but he stood firm against him by proclaiming that only worshipping and serving God is worth it. This tells us that no matter what other things happen or throw challenges towards us, our worship always should be directed towards God without any change. When we put God first in everything else, we get help in resisting those things which want to lead us astray.
We are always being faced with all sorts of temptations such as wanting luxury items, having relations with bad people or even weakness at times. This bible verse reminds us that these are passing thoughts; if we focus on God then we shall be above them. Serving God alone instead confirms our resolution for a life full of purpose grounded in faith love and obedience unto His will.

The ending part where angels came to serve Jesus serves as a reminder that God comforts those who keep on resisting evil and remain faithful to Him. Hence we do not walk alone when struggling through life’s challenges like Jesus who had angels attending to him during struggles with temptation ; similarly helping him understand more about his own father’s will he relied heavily upon. Thus when we serve him only he shows us his grace and power during trials thus becoming our refuge.
