Isaiah 5:25
“Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.”
Explanation:
Today’s bible verse reminds us that God is a holy and just God, and He will not turn a blind eye towards constant sin and rebellion. This verse is an indication of the repercussions that befell His people as a result of constantly rejecting His message and walking in their way rather than His. It is important to note that God was angry not out of wickedness, but out of absolute justice. God throughout the Scriptures is mercifully calling people to repent, but His judgment shows that there are always consequences for sin.
Today’s bible verse: At the same time, the verse acts as a loving warning for all generations. It is God’s desire that His people should come back to him and not receive any kind of judgment. He punishes His people so that their hearts can wake up and come back to righteousness. Although at times there might be punishment for people, God’s real aim is to make them repent so that he can restore them.

So, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in summary, it calls us to regard God’s word in earnest and not get used to the ways of sin. This is applicable in today’s context in that we should reflect on our hearts daily, repent from our sins, obey God’s commandments, and act quickly whenever He reprimands us. Rather than disregarding His reproofs, we should seek forgiveness from Him through Jesus Christ, walk in righteousness, and follow His lead.
