John 4:35
“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest”
Explanation of this verse:
Today’s bible verse, is a powerful spiritual teaching by Jesus to His disciples. He corrects a popular maxim of the day—”There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest” that waits for the proper time. But Jesus exhorts them to move beyond the natural time of things. He states, “Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest,” which means that harvest season spiritually is at hand. The “fields” represent people’s hearts ready to accept the gospel. This indicates that God is constantly at work in people’s hearts, even when we do not see the impact right away.
The teaching here is an appeal to spiritual sensitivity and preparedness. Most of the time, we wait to share the gospel or serve others, hoping that the “right moment” will arrive later. But Jesus challenges us to realize the urgency of the mission field around us. People are starved for truth, love, and salvation—today. Just like a natural harvest must not tarry when the crops are ripe, the spiritual harvest requires us to act quickly. God’s schedule is not tied to ours; He is preparing hearts long before we have prepared ourselves to sow or reap. Our responsibility is to be aware and obedient, knowing that the Holy Spirit has already preceded us.

So, dear brothers and sisters, today’s bible verse teaches us that we should always give our God first preference in our lives. And instead of looking for a good time, we should strive to spread his good words and his mission all the time. We should have to open our eyes and see those opportunities around us by which we can please him or help others in saving others by showing them the path of our Lord Jesus Christ. Whether by sharing the gospel, helping others, or motivating nonbelievers. Every time is a time of God. Every time try to serve others, when we serve others, our God serves us. So start serving him today.
