Proverbs 4:20
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.”
Explanation:
Today’s Bible verse: This is a tender exhortation by God, our heavenly Father, to concentrate all our attention on His Word. Like any good parent who wants only what is best for his or her children, God exhorts us to be attentive to His commands as they bring us to wisdom and life. “Incline thine ear” means to hear eagerly, humbly, and obediently. By making God’s Word our first concern, we receive the direction we need to make proper choices and stay committed always.”
This Bible verse: The Word of God should not be casually heard but should be greatly cherished in our hearts. As we live in a time where there are many distractions and voices competing for attention, this passage tells us that it is necessary to concentrate on the truth that comes from the Lord. His promises, His commands, and His wisdom help us to deepen our faith and keep us away from being deceived and becoming spiritually mature.
