Mark 1:19
“And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.”
Explanation:
Today’s Bible verse. It is evident from this verse that the call of Christ often came to people even as they faithfully went about their daily activities. It was not like James and John were just sitting around doing nothing. They were busy repairing their fishing nets for the next day’s work. The faithfulness of these men in carrying out their daily activities is an indication of the need to be responsible and faithful in what we do.
This Bible verse. Moreover, the scripture teaches us that Jesus always knows our situation and will find us wherever we are. Jesus called James and John even as they were busy with their work, and later on asked them to be his disciples. Through this, we learn that regardless of whatever profession we have and whatever phase of our lives we might be in, God can still choose us for his work.

So, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, the message of the above scripture is that God uses the faithful and willing servants to minister to Him. We can learn from this scripture in our lives by ensuring that we execute our daily duties sincerely and honestly because every little thing can become an avenue of honoring God. It requires us to be ready spiritually, listen to His directives, and be willing to obey Him anytime. By doing this, God will make a difference through our lives in His kingdom.
