Matthew 5:47
“And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?”
Explanation:
In this verse, this is a saying in the book of Matthew 5:47 which says that as Christians we should show love and kindness to everybody regardless of whether or not they love or honor us. This is because Jesus says that greeting and being kind to one’s friends, relatives, and other people who are nice to them does not make us better than others. The ones who did not believe in God were capable of showing kindness to others who showed kindness to them.
Today’s Bible verse: In essence, what is being said here is that we should not condition our love according to the way we are treated. Being Christians, we ought to be prepared to greet, honor, forgive, and be kind to people who may overlook us, differ with us, or mistreat us. Of course, this is not condoning any wrongdoing; rather, it is about choosing to love instead of hate and choosing kindness instead of vengeance.

So, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, to conclude, this Bible verse can be put into practice by looking out for situations where we can be kind to everyone, irrespective of whether the person we meet is a friend or someone who can give us anything in return. We can be warm to all, forgive people who have wronged us, assist people who are in need, pray for people who persecute us, and respect everybody. In showing kindness without receiving anything in return, we prove the transformation that Christ has made in our lives.
