Psalms 12:5
“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.”
Explanation:
Today’s Bible verse: The above-quoted verse from Psalms 12:5 tells us that God sees the affliction of the poor, the voice of the needy, and how they suffer oppression. It does not matter even if humans disregard their plight and oppress them, since God notices their suffering. “Now will I arise” tells us that God is listening to His children who are calling out to Him, and he has the power to do something for them.
Today’s Bible verse. This passage also tells us that God is our protector and provider of safety to the oppressed. We may use our power or influence over people to intimidate them, but God is more powerful than those who “puff at” the oppressed. It does not imply that everything will resolve itself in no time at all, but it lets us know that God is concerned with justice and values the oppressed. We are to take interest in those who suffer.
Conclusion:
So, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in summary, we can implement the above principle of following God in situations of injustice and presenting all our troubles to God through prayer. At the same time, we should not disregard other people who experience hardships. We can provide help to the poor, support the oppressed, stand for the oppressed, and be compassionate to those who need help. Through being helpful to other people, we can emulate the care of God.
